What is an AVGS voucher?
The AVGS is a funding instrument under § 45 SGB III (German Social Code, Book III). The Agentur für Arbeit and the Jobcenter issue it to pay for measures that activate people and help them into work – for example individual coaching.
Who can get an AVGS?
As a rule, people registered as job seekers or unemployed – for example those receiving Arbeitslosengeld (unemployment benefit) or Bürgergeld (basic income support). Your nationality does not matter as long as you are registered with the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter. Whether a voucher is issued, and for which measure, depends on your situation and is often at your adviser’s discretion, so it pays to prepare the conversation about your goal.
What does AVGS coaching cost?
If you hold a valid voucher and the measure is run by a provider approved under AZAV, the issuing office covers the cost of the coaching. Vitavia Akademie is AZAV-certified (certificate W-26-26826, GUTcert).
Is the coaching online, and is it available in English?
Our programmes “Dein Jobweg” and “Dein Gründungsweg” run as 1:1 online coaching via Zoom – from anywhere in Germany. In-person sessions in Kempten (Allgäu) are possible by arrangement. Our coach speaks German, Russian and English; the language of your sessions is agreed individually.
Does the start-up coaching help with the Gründungszuschuss?
During the coaching you work out the business plan and financial plan that are usually required to apply for the Gründungszuschuss (start-up grant) or Einstiegsgeld. The Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter decides on the funding; the Tragfähigkeitsbescheinigung (viability statement) is issued by a qualified body.
This information is for general orientation only and does not replace individual advice from the Jobcenter, the Agentur für Arbeit or qualified professionals. Requirements and administrative practice may change.
