FAQ on the AVGS request for job search coaching
Am I entitled to an AVGS for job search coaching?
For coaching under § 45 (1) sentence 1 no. 1 SGB III the authority decides at its discretion. That is why clear reasoning matters. You can ask for a decision that exercises discretion properly and, if refused, for a written Bescheid.
Does the request have to be in writing?
No particular form is required. A written, signed request does create clarity and records when you applied.
What if my request is refused?
Ask for the reasons. You can lodge an objection (Widerspruch) against a written refusal within one month. Often it also helps to add new facts to your reasoning and talk again.
Can I apply while I am still employed?
Yes, if you are already registered as a job seeker – for example after a dismissal or before a fixed-term contract ends. Choose that situation in the generator.
