What the Jobcenter letter generator does for you

Many people know exactly what support they need but struggle to find the right words for a German authority. The generator asks about your situation step by step and turns your answers into a letter structured the way a caseworker reads it: starting situation, concrete obstacles, your strengths, the support you need, your goal – and finally a clear request.

Based on your answers: only what you entered goes into the letter. Nothing is invented or exaggerated.
With all required details: legal basis, course, provider with address, AZAV approval and scope are added to the letter and the enclosed offer automatically.

Which letters you can create now

Two templates are live. Both are requests for an AVGS voucher (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein) under § 45 SGB III, issued by the Agentur für Arbeit or – if you receive Bürgergeld – by the Jobcenter:

Why good reasoning matters

An AVGS for coaching is a discretionary benefit (Ermessensleistung). Your adviser checks whether the course is necessary and suitable in your case. «I would like to do a coaching» is rarely enough. A request becomes convincing when it links your situation, your concrete obstacles, the content of the course and the expected result – a lasting job or a viable business.

Good to know

The authority has to give reasons for a refusal. The generator can therefore politely ask for a decision that exercises discretion properly and, if refused, for a written decision (Bescheid). You can switch this option off with one click.

How the generator works

Choose a template: find a job or prepare a business.
Answer the questions: situation, experience, obstacles and goals – mostly by clicking; free text only where your own words matter. Fields are filled in German with Latin letters.
Check the reasoning: the text is built from your answers; read it and adjust it if needed.
Enter your details and sign: sender, authority, Kundennummer, signature on screen.
Save the PDF and send it: request plus the provider’s offer with all course details.

Always up to date – and more templates are coming

We work every day with participants, caseworkers and future founders. What we learn about the authorities’ requirements and typical questions goes straight into the wording. When the law or practice changes, we update the templates.

The generator keeps growing: next come templates for the start-up grant of up to €5,000 for business assets when you start a business from Bürgergeld (§ 16c SGB II) and for Einstiegsgeld when you become self-employed (§ 16b SGB II). Letters to other authorities and for other needs will follow. These templates are currently in development and testing.

Questions and answers about the letter generator

Is the letter generator free?

Yes. No account and no payment are needed. The request is created in your browser and saved as a PDF.

Does the request guarantee that I get the voucher?

No. Only the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter decides, case by case. The generator makes sure your request is complete, clear and well-reasoned.

Why do I have to fill in the fields in German?

The questionnaire is translated for your convenience, but your answers go into a letter to a German authority word for word. That is why the fields accept Latin letters only: write in German, even in simple sentences.

How do I send the request?

By e-mail or post to your adviser, or through the online portal: eServices for the Agentur für Arbeit, jobcenter.digital for the Jobcenter. Keep a copy for yourself.

What happens to my data?

With your consent we receive a copy of the request so we can help if the authority has questions. The data is deleted after twelve months at the latest. Details are in the Datenschutzerklärung.
